SATURDAY 26TH NOVEMBER 2016 1-3.30PM
Paul will run his second anatomy focused workshop at the Studio focussing on the upper limb.
Yoga anatomy of the upper limb is a theoretical and practical workshop that will explore the relationship between anatomy and yoga postures. The student will be guided through a series of short power point presentations on the wrist elbow and shoulder linked with a sequence of yoga postures. Demonstrations will also be performed on a full sized skeleton to develop a clearer understanding of anatomy relating to yoga.
The content of this workshop will include joint motion, muscle group activation, stabilisation, stretching and strengthening techniques. By completing this workshop the student will have greater depth of understanding of the mechanics of the upper limb for a safe and healthy yoga practice.
Join Paul Purchase (Bsc Clinical Health Science) for a fun, practical and informative workshop combining his passions of yoga and osteopathic medicine.
This workshop is intended for general (intermediate) and experienced yoga students only.
