Yoga is a very practical philosophy that involves the integration of the body and the mind to achieve a greater sense of wellbeing, relaxation and harmony.

The Iyengar method of yoga is renowned for its precision and attention to detail in the practice of postures (asana) and pranayama (breathing). It is this attention to detail and concentration in the positioning of the body in practice that trains the mind to become both focused and sharp. BKS Iyengar has described this process as “meditation in motion”.

In an Iyengar yoga class, the postures have been structured to enable students of all levels of fitness and ability to progress safely from the foundation to more challenging postures. With practice, the yoga postures develop body awareness, muscles and flexibility. In addition, regular practice develops an internal awareness, that stabilizes the mind and promotes a feeling of contentment.

Our Beginner course special is great value – $165 for 10 weeks, and you can attend as many of our 5 Beginner classes each week. the next Beginner course starts on Saturday 24th APRIL 2017.
